What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They can be used to remember preferences, recognize repeat visits, and — in the case of advertising cookies — build a profile of interests across multiple websites.
Cookies this site may use
| Category | Purpose | Set by |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Basic site functionality (e.g. remembering that you dismissed the cookie notice) | This site |
| Analytics | Aggregate, anonymized-where-possible traffic measurement | Third-party analytics provider, if enabled |
| Advertising | Serving and measuring ads, including personalized ads based on browsing activity | Google AdSense and its advertising partners, if enabled |
None of our tools use cookies to store your input
The hash and password tools on this site keep all input in page memory (JavaScript variables) only, for as long as the page is open. Nothing you type into a hashing or lookup tool is written to a cookie, localStorage, or any other persistent storage by us.
Managing cookies
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings menu.
- You can opt out of Google's personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings.
- The Digital Advertising Alliance offers a broader opt-out tool at aboutads.info.
